Arthur Getz (1913-1996) was an American illustrator best known for his 50-year career as a cover artist for The New Yorker. Between 1938 and 1988, 213 Getz covers appeared on the magazine, making him the most prolific New Yorker cover artist of the 20th century. Getz also wrote and illustrated children's books.
