The text is illustrated with black-and-white photographs and maps. Colour photographic paperback binding, showing the author with champion Marino, and on the rear panel a photograph of the champion Rams representing each of the 19 breeds that New Zealand has. A small book on the various breeds of sheep that are bred in New Zealand, and what services they provide – whether wool or meat. Inserted loosely into the book is a postcard replicating the photograph to the rear book panel.  A little creasing of the book corners with rubbing of the book panels.
