About This Item

HARDCOVER. SIGNED. Hand Signed, Dated 5/8/2012, and "NYC" written by the author, Nell Freudenberger, directly to the Full Title page. Brand New, FIRST Edition, FIRST Printing copy. Beautiful condition. Never Owned. This is a GIFT GIVING QUALITY BOOK that was SIGNED seven (7) days after the publication date of 1 May 2012! NOT Remaindered, NOT Inscribed, NOT Ex-library, NOT Book Club Edition, NOT Price clipped, or Read. Opened only to Sign. The book has no flaws, a pristine copy. NOT signed on a PUBLISHER tipped-in, laid-in page, or bookplate as many books are today! (Note: Publishers are now attempting to pass off books as "signed" by inserting author-signed sheets at the time of printing!). The Newlyweds by Nell Freudenberger. The author of the novel The Dissident and the story collection Lucky Girls, winner of the PEN/Malamud Award and the Sue Kaufman Prize for First Fiction from the American Academy of Arts and Letters; both books were New York Times Book Review Notables. A recipient of a Guggenheim Fellowship, a Whiting Award, and a Dorothy and Lewis B. Cullman Fellowship from the New York Public Library, Granta named Freudenberger one of its twenty best young American Novelists. She was also chosen as one of The New Yorker's "20 Under 40". This is a First Edition, First Printing, Hand Signed & Dated by the author on the full title page. No inscription; full signature plus "5/8/12" and "NYC" written by the author only. From an event with Eliza Griswold at the New York Public Library's Cullman Center in New York City on May 8, 2012. Publication date: May 1, 2012. I may have multiple copies of this book for sale. If I do, all were signed the same day, at the same signing event, at the same time, using the same pen by the author. I use only one listing photo of the signed book page for all the listings, and each signature page, naturally, may be slightly different. BS000756.
