Title in gilt lettering on spine and upper boards, incl. gilt tooled hieroglyphs between a gilt border also on upper cover. Red marbled endpapers and marbled edges. . Octavo. Pp. 808. Plus folded map as frontispiece, "Cook's Map of The Nile: Wadi Half to Khartum" and 2 other maps of Cook's steamer and Dahabeya service on the Nile, all 3 maps with hand-coloured routes. With illustrations and plans. bound in the original publisher's brown full cloth on limp boards, gilt decoration to cover, marbled endpapers and edges ~ Ninth edition. One small split to fold out map.
