Dustjacket has edgewear and a couple of small closed tears - protected in a Mylar sleeve, if requested. Darkening to the gutters at the front and rear endpapers - a natural ageing effect. ; Signed by the author on the title page; with a Presentation note and signature of Charles A. Lindbergh beneath. Also included is a personal two page letter signed by Charles A. Lindbergh to Admiral Harold B. "Min" Miller, public relations director of Pan American Airlines describing some personal effects Lindbergh has donated to the planned museum of the airline, as well as personal copies of this book to both the museum and Admiral Miller, of which this is one copy. Attached to the letter is a memo from the desk of Admiral Miller referring in part to this book. Also, a Reader's Digest article condensing a story from the Honolulu Star-Bulletin describing the funeral of Charles A. Lindbergh on the island, entitled, "The 'Lone Eagle's' Last Flight." Also a newspaper clipping from The Miami Herald, dated Friday, March 16, 1973, reporting on another book by Anne Morrow Lindbergh, with notes written on it from an unknown source. ; 8vo 8" - 9" tall; 255 pages; Signed by Author .

Synopsis

Born in Englewood, N.J. in 1906, Anne Morrow married Charles Lindbergh in 1929, two years after his transatlantic flight. She is the author of many books, including Gift from the Sea and Listen! The Wind, and five volumes of diaries and letters, among them Bring Me a Unicorn and Hour of Gold, Hour of Lead. Mrs. Lindbergh is the recipient of countless honors and awards, including the Hubbard Medal of the National Geographic Society.
