About This Item

Gilt and blind stamped decoration to the spine with red label and gilt titles. Northanger Abbey and Persuasion 1st thus, lacking half title 288pp. [Gilson E16] The Miser's Daughter lacking half title 192pp with portrait frontispiece and St James's lacking half title 220pp. The Ainsworths are bound before the Austens. The binding is firm with just a hint of rubbing to the spine tips and corners. The marbled boards are rubbed on the surface and edges. Internally the endpapers are split and there is spotting to the endpapers and frontispiece and title page of The Miser's Daughter but otherwise the book is very clean. An excellent mid nineteenth century romantic collection. Rainford & Parris Books welcomes enquiries, so please do not hesitate to ask if you require further images or have any questions. All books are packaged with great care.
