Book is tight, clean, and square. Boards clean with sharp corners , gilt perfect. Feels gently read, still nice and tight. Sharp spine ends, text block edges have light toning, pages crisp and unblemished. Near fine condition. Jacket some crimping to head of spine. The rear panel has some pressure marking. Publishers sticker to front panel has a crease. Overall a solid near fine copy.Signed by author to title page. For grading accuracy books are photographed without a protective book cover. This book is fitted with a non adhesive archival quality book protector to make a quality addition to your collection. Note we do not use stock images, the book pictured is the book described. A great copy of this 10th anniversary edition. Issued in 2005, second printing. This copy has the publishers 10th Anniversary presentation bookplate for "Christmas 2005" tipped in to the half title page and signed to the title page by Pullman. A scarce presentation volume that looks superb on the shelf in the archival fitted cover, one for the collectors shelves.
