A collection of biographical sketches and commentaries on important Welsh musicians of the day, such as: David Jenkins, Tom Price, Martha Harries, Maldwyn Humphreys, Evan Evans, Llewela Davies, Ellis Roberts, Clara Novello Davies, and many others. With a preface on the condition of music in Wales at the time of writing. Written by Frederic Griffith, a Welsh flautist for the Royal Opera House in London. In the original quarter vellum binding with green cloth boards. Externally, sound with rubbing and bumping to the extremities. Discolouration to the spine as is typical with ageing. Minor loss to the head of the spine. Marks to the boards. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are very bright with the odd handling mark. A tear to pages 77/78. Good
