New York, Alfred A Knopf, 1963 Hardcover, first edition in the U.S. 224 pages with dustjacket. One of a series of notebooks Camus kept from 1935 till his death recording ideas for future books,conversations and comments on books he was reading. This first volume (of three) also reveals his thoughts on Love, death, loneliness and his feelings towards women. A Very Good copy without inscriptions in a Very Good un-clipped dustjacket. Slight darkening to Closed page edges and to spine of jacket. Pictures available.
