Paris, France: Galerie Georges Petit, 1896. First Edition. Quarter-leather--marbled boards. Very Good. Folio, 15" tall, 20 pages, 1/4 leather, marbled boards and endpapers. A very good, clean, sturdy copy, over all, covers rubbed and worn along edges with exposure of the boards at the corners and some peeling to the leather at the spine edge. Hinges and binding solid, paper moderately yellowed. Contains 9 one-page plates in black and white of Lancret's work and 2 two-page plates showing the interior in which these paintings exist. [Note: Plate #10 is actually the two double page plates].
