Hardcover. 400 copies issued. 53 pp.; 4to; printed and decorated dull purple paper over boards; black cloth back, in plain paper jacket. Frontis is a nicely reproduced folding map with border vignettes that was first included in Father Miguel Venegas's, 'Noticiia', 1757. Folding map in rear is the Map of California by Miguel Costanso, Mexico, 1771. These along with reproductions of manuscripts and a sketch of the Presidio of Monterey. .
