Published just weeks after The Grapes of Wrath, this is the first critical examination of the life and work of John Steinbeck (1902-1968), encompassing all of his works up to and including The Grapes of Wrath. Includes a bibliographical checklist of first editions and a map of Steinbeck Country. Original green cloth binding, with gilt lettering. Some general minor wear to the dust jacket, with a small bookseller's label to the rear flap and a few tape reinforcements to the verso; otherwise a very good copy. Goldstone, A. & J.
