About This Item
New York: Delacorte Press, 1969. Hardcover. 216p., first printing, slightly worn dj. Intriguing full-page gift inscription on the verso of the half-title page. The inscription is clearly written to one of the volunteers in the Abraham Lincoln Brigades: "To Oliver, A man who fought the struggle when it was not popular, but right. you rose above the fires to stand out as a pillar. I'll always remember standing side by side fighting the 'good' fight. ..." Unfortunately, we cannot decipher the presenter's name.
