Reviews

On May 6 2005, Lyleford said:
Pryde's account of his 10 years among the indigenous people of Perry Island and other parts of the Canadian Arctic as a fur trader for the Hudson Bay Company. Aside from some dated attitudes regarding sex, gender roles, and race, this is mainly a respectful and personal account of a white man encountering a unique culture and harsh climate. Includes much information about Inuit material culture and customs.
