About This Item

Hobart, Tasmania, Australia: Fuller's Bookshop, 1966. First Edition First Printing . Hardcover. Very Good+/VG-. Follows up the author's earlier (1952) "Stones of a Century" with this even more in-depth exploration of everything that makes rural Tasmania unique, focusing on "domestic & architectural bygones & antiquities" like mills, homes, natural landscapes, graveyards, churches, barns, bridges, inns, & more. In 134 pages, well-illustrated with black-and-white photos throughout. This is a FIRST EDITION, First printing from 1966, SIGNED by the Author (his name only) on title page. With orange cloth over boards lettered in white, this hardcover book is in VG+ condition: very bright & clean, binding straight & strong, pages moderately but evenly tanned. Mild rubbing/sunning to spine & extremities, tearing of paper at top outer-upper corner of front board. The unclipped DJ is VG-, with paper loss to about 1/2" at both head & foot of spine & lower corners; no fading; nicely protected in new mylar cover free! Our photos depict the Exact book you will receive from us, never "stock" images of books we don't actually have! All orders processed before 2 pm weekdays (PST) ship same day; later orders, weekends & holidays ship very next business day.
