Bound in light brown cloth with darker brown textile backstrip, this dated 1966 First Printing, First Edition is VG (Close Fine) in Good plus dustjacket (unclipped). 537pp with 13 Chapters, 31 B/W Photos and Appendix. Lots of text on Magic and Cheating, especially interesting is Chapter 5, "Fooling America's Greatest Magicians", and a letter from Edgar Hoover reproduced in the text, thanking Scarne for a lecture on detecting cheating in gambling given to an FBI conference. Clean endpapers, pink top edge, and generally without fault. Dustjacket is 99.9% complete but with 7 tiny chips along top/bottom edges, mainly at spine. Thus condition VG with Good dustjacket . Very Good. Hardback. First Edition.. 1966.
