The Odyssey Of An Orchid Hunter

by Burdett, F. D.; edited and annotated by Percy J. King

Condition: Very Good

Herbert Jenkins Ltd. London. 1930. First Printing stated. 317 pages. Hardcover. The covers are in very good minus condition, their original green color is still quite vivid with only a couple of small scuff marks on them. The most significant issue is bumping at the corners, the most noticeable is the bottom front corner which is creased. There is also some minor loss at the bottom fore-edges of both the front and back cover (less than 1" long). The title and author(s) are stamped in dark green on the front cover and spine. There is some rubbing and creasing on the top and bottom of the spine, along with a couple of other marks, but overall, the spine is still attractive. The binding is solid. The interior of this book is in very good plus condition. There no writing, markings or foxing detected. The pages are clean and bright. The book is illustrated with 15 full-page black/white photographs. The frontis is a photograph of the author, Fred D. Burdett, at Manila, where he started on his first orchid hunting expedition.
