[Cambridge? or Boston?: np, 1924]. [8]pp. Scorecard. 8½ x 5½ inches. Color printed self-wrappers; stapled. Half tone illustrations. Single printed song sheet leaf, [2]pp, laid in. Brief wear along spine and at center fold; some creasing; very good.

Official football game program for Harvard-Princeton match of 1924, the 27th meeting of the two rivals. The game was played at Soldiers Field in the Allston neighborhood of Boston, across the Charles River from Cambridge.

While the stadium kept track of the game on its Irwin Score Board ("the Jumbotron of its day,"¹ complete with a miniature field and player numbers), stadium attendees could keep score in the program. Diagrams of the offensive line-ups are shown within, team squads are listed, and there are half tone portraits of the leading players, coaches, and managers.

To further aid attendees in following the game, scoring values are given (i.e. touchdowns, goals, safeties, and a forfeited game), important penalties are explained, and essential player statistics, including preparatory school's attended, are provided.

Laid into the program is a two-sided song sheet with fight songs to elevate the game's excitement: "Harvard Songs" on one side and "Princeton Songs" on the other. Songs here include "Fair Harvard," "Soldiers Field" (for Harvard-a home team advantage), "Veritas," "Old Nassau," "Princeton Cannon Song," and "Jungle Song" for the tiger-inclined-Wow, Wow, Wow, Wow, Wow! Hear the Tiger roar.

Visiting team Princeton won that day in a shut-out, 34-0. Wow!
