Chicago: P. F. Volland & Co, 1913. First edition. NF. Large oblong hardcover book bound in the publisher's pictorial paper-wrapped boards with a cloth spine. 24 cm. Unpaginated. Full page two-color illustrations by Clare Briggs throughout with facing verse by Nesbit. The book is in near fine condition. Small presentation bookplate (issued by Central Trust Company of Illinois) affixed to the front fixed end page. No other ownership marks/writing present within. Hinges tight, interior pages bright. Light edge wear/bumping, rubbing, soiling to the covers.
