Early reprint, title page dated 1905 with a personalized inscription signed by the author on the preliminary blank with a verse below: "It was a dream that had to wait; waiting is said to be good for dreams". The author's thoughts on old houses, nature, books, gardens, etc., illustrated in Arts & Crafts style in sepia tones on a tan background, decorative borders. Light green textured cloth with illustration mounted on the front cover, lettering and decoration in gilt and green, top edge gilt, tiitle page in brown and green, 142 pages. Come scuffing and light uneven surface color loss to the covers, good hinges, sound text block, clean pages with no other names or markings.. First Edition. Hard Cover. Good. 8vo - over 7¾" - 9¾" tall.
