London: Hurst and Blackett, 1855. Cloth. Very Good. 8" by 5.5". None. The second edition, revised and enlarged, of this two volume set on the history of Kensington by renowned critic Leigh Hunt. The second edition of this two volume work in the publisher's original cloth binding. Ink inscriptions to the title page of both volumes, dated 1860. An anecdotal literary history of Kensington by Leigh Hunt (1784-1859), a renowned critic, essayist and poet who was the at centre of the intellectual group known as the "Hunt Circle". 2 pages of publisher's advertisements to the rear of Volume II. In the publisher's original cloth binding. Externally smart, with some fading to the spines, though gilt lettering and decoration are still bright. Internally, binding is slightly strained to Vol II; Vol I is firmly bound. Pages are generally bright and clean, with some spotting to the first and last few pages. Very Good
