This edition publsihed by Bracken. Superbly illustrated throughout with numerous line drawings and many full page colour plates. Dust wrapper not price clipped. Sunning to the lower third of the front of the wrapper and the spine of the wrapper. Shelf wear to the top edge of the wrapepr with some associated creasing particularly to the wrapper at the head of the spine. A couple of soil spots to the front end paper and paste down. Very slight foxing to the rear end paper and fore edges of the book adn occasionally tot he first few pages of the book. Internally clean and well preserved. A very good copy of this super book.

London: James Sangster and Co, 1111. Hardcover. Good/No Jacket. Folio - over 12 - 15" tall. A Pictorial Museum of Regal, Ecclesiastical, Municipal, Baronial, And Popular Antiquities - Vol I". Not dated; believed to be circa mid 1800s. In quite good red cloth boards, with blind stamped tooling on front and back, gilt decorated border for gilt titles on front; gilt decorated spine cloth. The covers are very tight, but with wear and discolouration front and back. "The Clevedon Community Bookshop Co-operative Bindery Team" have reinforced the spine with the same coloured book cloth and the original spine reapplied. The Team have also inserted new end papers and tipped in loose pages. The cut edges are all in gilt, and fairly clean. The text block is very tightly bound, some grubby marks and occasional light foxing, but overall quite clean. There is a large stain on one of prelims. With lovely coloured plates (with tissue guards) and engraved illustrations. Very heavy.
