Wellington, New Zealand: Buick & Young , 1903. History of the Rangitane, Rangitikei-Manawatu Blocks, Te Rauparaha, Maori and settlers. In the 1860s most of Manawatu passed from Maori to Crown ownership. The maps shows some of the principal blocks. CONDITION Brown bds, pp x 408 with 44 half tone photo plates of people and places, 2 maps in colour, advertising at rear. Copy is rubbed to edges with some dents to rear, a little shaken, frontis tissue guard is torn with some loss, internally bright with odd mark. OVERWEIGHT. First Edition. Hard Cover. Very Good/No Jacket. 8vo - over 7¾" - 9¾" tall.
