Green covers with red lettering on front cover and rubbed on spine, lightly bumped and rubbed corners and spine-ends, sound binding, darkened end-papers, pages are clean but a little darkened. A collection of short pieces in prose and poetry, some are written in dialect. Includes (laid in) a lengthy folded and darkened newspaper (The Chronicle) clipping of the obituary of the author dated September 7 1946. No dust-jacket. Stamps for Halifax Antiquarian Society and "Withdrawn" stamp on front end-papers and prelims. Pages of main text and plates (including reverse of plates) are free from stamps.
