Geoffrey Wilson provides a comprehensive history of the development of telegraphs, of the shutter, semaphore, and other kinds of visual mechanical telegraphs developed in the eighteenth and nineteenth century. In the publisher's full cloth binding. Externally, excellent with some light shelf wear to the edges and a few small marks to the boards. The original unclipped dust wrapper is in very smart condition. Some shelf wear and light chipping to the edges. Some sunning to the spine. Internally, firmly bound. Pages very bright and clean.
