About This Item

Hutchinson, London, 1966. First Edition. Hardcover. Very Good Condition/Very Good. Illustrator: Biro. 350 g; 238 pages, last two pages blank, in original colour illustrated dust jacket. Trace of rubbing to the front fold over crease, and to the tips of the fold overs. Otherwise in exceptionally good condition. The dustwrapper shows no sign of colour leaching. 20 years after the Second World War in the Western desert, the men who had fought there together, return in search of treasure. They are all 20 years older -- and hardships which had welded them into a unit now drive them apart. Youthful ideals have been lost, and replaced by self-seeking greed. The spirit of coverage ship has vanished with the years. -- front fold over blurb Size: 8vo - over 7¾" - 9¾" tall. Please refer to accompanying picture (s). Illustrator: Biro. Quantity Available: 1.
