London: Leadenhall Press, 1883. olive green cloth with red and black lettering, decorations. top edge trimmed, others not trimmed. large, heavy book., wear to some corners and spine edges. edges of text block dulled. foxing to endpapers, only a few spots on printed pages which have a faint aura of toning to outermost margins. hinges are tender, appear to have been reinforced with japanese tissue, but are sturdy and useable. book has been carefully cleaned. no writing or markings. small bookshop label on rear pastedown.; contains 14 traditional tales, all beautifully illustrated with uncountable woodcuts of all sizes by joseph crawhall. each tale has its own pagination. unpaginated as a whole.. First Edition. Hard Cover. Very Good/No Jacket, as Issued. Illus. by Joseph Crawhall. 4to - over 9¾" - 12" tall.
