Written just four years after the ruinous labor riots against Oliver in 1885, and as the company was fast expanding around the world, this piece reinforces the greatness and importance of Oliver Chilled Plows. Shober & Carqueville was originally established in Chicago by the merger of Charles Shober’s firm with Chicago Lithographing Company (Louis Kurtz & Edward Carqueville) in 1876. The company printed sheet music, posters, pictorial maps, trade cards, and advertising novelties.
