About This Item
New York: St. Martin's Press. Very Good+ in Good+ dust jacket. 1986. First Edition; First Printing. Hardcover. 0312584717 . Board edges and DJ show light edge wear, 1/4" chip missing from top front edge of DJ.; A bright, solid book, dustjacket in Mylar, unclipped. ; B&W Photographs; 8.30 X 5.70 X 1.20 inches; 269 pages; A biography of the Greek shipping magnate, and his daughter. "The author details Onassis's financial coups, rivalries, many romantic affairs, friendships, etc. More engrossing sections describe his daughter Christina's life, stressing the vast difference between the private woman and the adopted persona. Outwardly, she suggests a neurotic: four failed marriages interrupting frantic running around in search of diversions. But Davis shows that Christina has inherited and is wisely using her father's business acumen. Immediately after his death, she took control of the Onassis empire and is building on it. The book is sharply witty and entertaining. " .

About Ainsworth Books
Ainsworth Books was for many years a bricks and mortar store in Vancouver, BC. When we acquired the store, we moved to a location in Delta. After three years we moved the stock home and started operation as an online, by appointment only operation. I have worked with books my whole adult life and enjoy giving recommendations.
