Appears unread, in publisher's original dark green cloth, titles, author on spine stamped in silver, light residual age-toning from dust jacket and scattered light foxing to endpapers, minor rubbing to extremities of boards mostly to spine corners, pages are clean, bright and binding tight. Dust Jacket Condition: Very Good+. Unclipped with the original price of $2.95 on the first inner flap, micro-chips and creases to extremities typical of dust jackets of this age, jacket protected in professional collector Brodart mylar sleeve. Scarce signature and inscription on the first endpaper by author Kendell Foster Crossen. Featuring protagonist Manning Draco, this is the only fix-up novel connecting all four stories of the series first featured in the 1951-1952 Thrilling Wonder Stories pulp magazine: The Merakian Miracle; The Regal Rigellian; The Pollution Pretender; The Caphian Caper. Crossen wrote over 45 pulp fiction novels, 300 short stories, numerous screenplays and hundreds of radio scripts under many pseudonyms including; Christopher Monig, M.E. Chaber, Richard Foster, Bennett Barlay, Clay Richards and more. Crossen was one of the founders of the Mystery Writers of America. As of this writing, this is the only known first edition of this title signed by author Kendell Foster Crossen on the market. Crossen was editor of the pulp fiction magazine Detective Fiction Weekly, wrote featured stories in numerous pulp magazines such as Amazing Stories, Thrilling Wonder Stories, Startling Stories, Planet Stories and is the creator of the 1940's Golden Age comic books the Green Lama and Atoman.
