Handsomely bound in unsigned contemporary half polished calf over marbled boards, two black morocco labels and elaborate gilt tooling to spine, marbled end papers. Illustrated with 280 wood engravings. The illustrations were first devised by the author, then drawn by William Harvey, and then engraved on wood by John Johnson at the Apollo Press. Very Good, period prior owner name dated 1828 front end page,spine evenly sunned, 3 small rubs front cover bottom corner, small rubs at tips, scattered light toning throughout. . First Edition. Half Calf Over Marbled Boards. Very Good/No Jacket, As Issued. 4to - over 9¾" - 12" tall.
