Patterned paper-covered boards (pattern designed by Edward Bawden) wtih title in gilt on off-white spine. Condition: Fair to good, covers have general light shelfwear with some rubbing to cover corners, browning and sunning to paper-covered boards and some general light grubbiness to spine. Binding sound. Previous owners bookplate to front pastedown with another bookplate above. Some browning to endpapers. Internally, the pages are bright and clean, and unopened at the top edge.38pp. Wood engraved decorations by John Reginald Biggs. The preface is loosely inserted on a separate sheet, as intended. One of a limited edition of 100 copies, of which 90 were for sale, this being no.38..
