Marbled paper (resembling tree calf) over boards, paper spine label, library call number handwritten in white ink at tail of spine; folio (390x260mm); pp. [20], 148, [16], 147, [1] (blank), plus 30 double-page or folding plates, as well as illustrations in text; with half title-page printed in red and black, engraved title-page. Spine and top edge of boards sunned; some light chipping along joints and edges of boards. Front board, spine, and first few leaves pulled off text block. Needs repair. Library inkstamp on prelims (Biblioth. S. Caroli, Borr. Semin. Philad.); early notation inked on half-title; first half of text block faintly waterstained; some moderate browning and spotting; closed tear across plate at p. 87; crack in the gutter at p. [10], and a few leaves loose (laid-in). Sold as is.
