London: Macmillan and Co., 1910. First edition, 1910. With inscription signed by the author opposite the half-title, addressed to Ludovico Claudio Purder, dated 1918. Also includes handwritten note by the author to the same recipient. Collection of speeches and letters in Latin by the author from 1876 to 1909. Blue cloth printed in gilt, top edge gilt, 290 pages plus publisher's ad. Uniform discoloration to the covers at the spine ends and extending to the front and rear covers, with no internal evidence of any staining. Some edgewear, good hinges, sound text block, name of Peter S. Noble at upper corner of front free endpaper, no other markings.. Inscribed by The Author. First Edition. Hard Cover. Good. 8vo - over 7¾" - 9¾" tall.
