This novel of the last weeks of the WW II Allied drive into Germany derives from the author's own experiences and the files of the U.S. Counter Intelligence Corps. The entire action takes place during the nineteen days between President Roosevelt's death and Hitler's suicide, and the story deals with ferreting out and destruction of the fabled Nazi Werewolf Organization. The author was born and educated in Denmark. He was personally involved in the action upon which the story is based and was decorated by the U.S. Army as well as by the King of Denmark, and was subsequently awarded the Knight Commander Cross of the Militant Order of St. Brigitte of Sweden.
