TERRY] ORIGINAL ENGRAVING BRINGING TOGETHER THE BRITISH ROYAL COAT OF ARMS AND MOTTO OF THE ORDER OF THE GARTER, Published As the Acts Directs, October 5, 1781, by G. Terry, 54 Pater-noster Row [London], engraving (cut from larger sheet of old paper), 7-1/4" high x 8-1/2" across, British Royal Coat of Arms in the center with Order of the Garter motto "Honi soit qui mal y pense" running around it, to the left lion with crown, to the right unicorn, underneath this image is "Dieu et Mon Droit" (motto of the British monarch), reverse blank, parts of edges uneven from clipping from larger sheet, small parts of left end of scroll the lion is standing on are missing with loss at lower left corner, 1781 engraving authenticated by seller with lifetime guarantee; CONDITION: old paper supple, not brittle, light normal age-toning. keywords: heraldry, British royalty, coat of arms, engraving, English crown.
