Thomas Dudley Fosbroke was a 19th-century English historian perhaps best-known for his history of Gloucester, England. This work, "History of the City of Gloucester" covers the history of bishops, cathedrals, epitaphs, historical and modern buildings, and a section on the ancient Gloucester Castle.
This impressive 1819 printing is an enormous folio with 21 full-page engravings – views of the castle, cathedrals, city views, and much more!
