c1959 1959. VG-. This is the original pen and ink illustration by John Ward RA for Cider With Rosie. It is inscribed top left: 'Chap Six Public Death'. The illustration appears on page 122 of the 1st Edition, showing the Ophelia-like drowning of Miss Fluck. The picture has been professionally mounted and placed in a silver coloured wood frame, 53 x 72cm (image size 31 x 46 cm), with a glass front. Taped onto the back is a card printed: J S Maas & Co Ltd dealers in fine art at a New Bond Street Address with a hand written description above.
