Paris: L'Auteur Rapilly, [1869]. First Edition. Hardback. Near Fine/No Jacket. A rare Large Paper copy with half-title, 73 plates (complete, no plate 58 as always due to a numbering error), including 23 double-page, 1 folding (with handling tear), and 4 illuminated chromolithograph plates (2 double-page) which are only found in this Large Paper edition. Occasional minor off-setting, original printed blue wrappers bound in. Untrimmed, early 20th century green half morocco, slight rubbing. 4to. This copy scarce as a Large Paper but also as complete with the colour and gilt plates 8 & 9 and 60 & 61 missing from most other copies.
