An absorbing biography in which Ervine set out to judge Wilde not as a subject for pity or reproach, but as a Writer and especially as a Dramatist. Book clean - no insc. It has the usual brown band on the feps between the d/j flap and the spine associated with books of this age and very slight foxing to fore edges of pages. Attractive book plate to pasted down fep. The Dust Jacket is in exceptional condition - not price clipped 5mm closed tear to rear bottom spine fold and very slight foxing to rear flap at fore edge o/w wise bright and clean in clear proprietary protective cover.
