Manchester: Abel Heywood & son, 1885. First edition (hardback). 8vo, viii, 324pp. Portrait frontispiece. Original decorated red cloth, gilt titling to the spine. This copy is only in fair condition - the binding is rubbed, the endpapers are stained, there is a bookplate to the front pastedown, and the contents are lightly spotted and thumbed.
