New York: Charles Scribner's Sons. Good+. 1888. First Edition; First Printing. Hardcover. ; Quarter maroon cloth cover with illustrated green cloth boards has a chip to the upper corner of front cover, spine has been reinforced with early matching buckram cloth, and general wear and light soiling. Boards and spine are straight. Binding is tight. Antiquated gift inscription on front end sheet to Orville B. Babcock. On the title page is the embossment of another owner of the book, Joseph A. Sadony. Pages are lightly toned with light sparse thumbing but in very good condition. Illustrated in b&w with headpieces, tailpieces, and frontispiece plus 24 plates. .
