Collated, complete.Evans provides an account of his 1869-1870 trip through Mexico, describing the landscape, people and local customs of Mexico so as to present a fascinating view of nineteenth-century Mexico through the eyes of an American.With two pages of advertisements to the rear.Evans worked as a journalist for many years, and served on the staff of the Governor of California during the Civil War. In the publisher's original cloth binding. Significant fading to cloth of back strip, and head of rear board. Bumping to spine head and tail. Based in the literary city of Bath, our offices are housed in the Eastern Dispensary. Built in 1845, the building originally existed as a charitable institution providing medical care. The building now houses our collection of over twenty thousand books and has five full time members of staff.
