LONDON: LONGMANS, GREEN AND CO, 1894. 2nd Edition . Full Calf. Near Fine/No Jacket. An attractive red leather presentation copy, with the gilt motif to the front board reading: "Queen Elizabeth's Free Grammar School, St Olave's, Southwark". Very lightly rubbed, polished calf supple and clean. All edges bright gilt. Really nice to hold in the hand, with a solid feel. Prelims foxed, thereafter bright and clean. Numerous full colour plates of insects, shells, etc, plus in-text engravings. A really lovely volume bound to a high specification. In all, Near Fine binding, a little foxed inside. Very nice.
