A Fair copy (brief 1931 gift inscription) in black cloth of the stated first edition, with the spine lettering quite faded but the front cover lettering legible. About sixty pages at the rear are creased and/or lightly chipped at the top corner, in the margin only. The binding is sound and the text is clean. Nicely inscribed and signed by editor Bessie Rowland James at the title page. Please note: signed by editor James (who is given title page credit as editor), but not by Brainard. No dust jacket.
