One of many maritime adventure stories by the English author William Joseph Cosens Lancaster (1843-1922), written under the pseudonym Harry Collingwood. 287pp illustrated with black and white drawings. Edges tinted, top board and spine decorated with blue, green and gold drawings. Gilt lettering to top board and spine, grey endpapers. Some bumping to spine and corners, small stain to pastedown, some foxing to early pages and margins and prize certificate dated 1910 to endpaper, otherwise good copy. Publication date possibly 1910 rather than 1911 as presented on the title page..
