Signed "Portsmouth May 8th, 1824, Excepted and Carr'd to the A/C current and settled, Theo Sheafe". The final total is $2,456.82. A list of expenses incurred including labor, customs fees, dockage, rigging, barrels of mackerel and beef. Places mentioned include New Bedford, the Vineyard and Salem. With the names of local merchants including Odiorne, Sam Grenough, and Luke M. Laighton. The Sheafe family was a prominent Portsmouth family involved in shipping, and owners of the Sheafe Warehouse, built in the early 1700s and recently restored.
