Illustrator: photographs & maps. there is no publication date, however on page 154 is mention of the year 1950 so publication date was probably in the next year or so. The book comprises 16 e, on cartography, the French navigators in the Pacific, Australia and Pacific whaling, naturalists expeditions in the Pacific, artists of the Pacific, literature of the "Bounty" birds of paradise (by the editor), missionaries and religion in the South Seas, megaliths, novelists of the Pacific, and the Pacific section of the Alexander Turnbull library. Size: 8vo - over 7¾" - 9¾" tall. [10] 176 pages, in original hardcover cloth binding faded on the spine, and on the right hand edge of the front panel. otherwise clean, and free of blemish. Tipped in frontispiece, and errata slip tipped in on the contents page. There are a total of 40 pages of plates, plus maps etc. Please refer to accompanying picture (s).
