Title vignette on spine, lettered in ink. Unopened. Cover chipped, also some closed and opened tears. Outer corners of the title page torn. Lower outer corner of the first two leaves torn. Paper tanned due to aging. Water stains occasionally. Otherwise in very good condition.. First edition. In published blue wrappers. Two parts in one volume. Title vignette on spine, lettered in ink. 80; 35 [=135] p. A scarce document of the French revolution by an admirer of Washington.
A social agreement sketched up by an anonymous author who was not satisfied with neither the Constitution of 1791 nor the Constitution of 1793, except for the Declaration of Human Rights. He is an admirer of Washington, on the recto of the title page he praises Washington together with Freedom and Truth: Washington reçois-en hommage. Liberté! Vérité!
Scarce on the market, RBH recorded only one copy for sale (Swann, 1989).
