Owen Francis Dudley (1882-1952) was a Catholic priest who wrote detective fiction (amongst other things) that has often been compared to Chesterton's Father Brown stories. This is the 4th book in his Problems of Human Happiness series, set against the backdrop of the battle between Christianity and Communism.
